Experience-based enlightenment beyond theory
Social issues such as homelessness and addiction – honest, direct and at eye level
General age recommendation: from 13-14 years
Our Tours and lectures make topics like homelessness and addiction tangible and create a deeper understanding. Instead of dry theory, students gain direct insights into the lives of those affected – honest, unfiltered, and firsthand.
Through personal exchange, an awareness is created how quickly someone can get into such a situation – and how difficult it is to get out againOur educational offerings therefore promote not only knowledge, but also empathy, reflection, and critical thinking.
Whether as School trip, supplement to lessons or addiction prevention Approach – our educational offerings offer a unique opportunity to convey social issues in a practical way.
City tour about addiction and homelessness
Social education, awareness and prevention
Our tours offer a unique opportunity to experience education outside of the traditional classroom. Each tour is based on the personal experiences of our guides – Martin and Nico – who share their stories openly and candidly.
By combining personal narratives with real-life locations, the tours offer an in-depth exploration of drug addiction and its consequences, life on the streets, and social stigma. They not only impart knowledge but also stimulate critical thinking and promote a deeper understanding of social structures.

While Martin, among other things, talks about the long-term consequences of his drug addiction – reflected and with the distance of many years – Nico talks about the everyday life of homeless youth, which he himself experienced until recently. Both tours encourage the young people to reflect on their own prejudices and the social structures that lead to such life situations.

Peter Punk in Wiener Nimmerland
Martin's Tour

Martin's tour tells the story of a life marked by many years of homelessness and severe addiction. He talks about the physical and psychological consequences of long-term drug use, everyday life on the streets, and the challenges of withdrawal.
Issues such as long-term health problems, violence, and exclusion play a role, as do the stumbling blocks of rehabilitation. He questions societal prejudices and shows why the path back is often more difficult than many think.

Difference between tour and lecture
Of the lecture takes place directly at the school and focuses on the topics of drug addiction (including alcohol) and its direct and indirect effects, which allows for intensive discussion.
the Tour The presentation, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive educational offering and expands on the lecture. It relies on experiential learning – guiding students through various outdoor stations and visually connecting narratives with the locations of the events. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, from addiction and its consequences to life on the streets.
Combination of tour and lecture
When combining Tour & Lecture, the two offers should definitely with different tour guides/speakers can be booked.
Since both offerings are based on the personal experiences and stories of the respective participants, overlaps in content can easily occur, as some topics are covered in both the tour and the lecture. Therefore, we strongly recommend having two different people for the tour and the lecture. This provides two different perspectives and a different focus, ensuring both remain exciting and varied for the students!
